We can find what we have lost.

We wander about
In mist and fog,
Searching
For something known and
unspoken.

A vague memory from when we were small,
A perfect dream long since faded away.
Hopes for a future forever adjusted by life.
A song we heard once,
In a place now torn down,
By a band we have forgot.

And all the while,
It’s in our hearts and hands.
We dance it with our feet.
Share it in our smile.

We glimpse with eyes that strain to focus,
Ears that are learning to hear.
Dew rolls away,
A little more every day.
